Diogo Dalot reacts to being signed by Manchester United

Manchester United's new signing Diogo Dalot has said that he has signed for one of the best clubs in the world, and he is hoping to achieve great things with his new side.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • United signed the 19-year-old from FC Porto for a fee reported to be £19m. The Portuguese right-back has penned down a five-year contract with Jose Mourinho's side, making him the club's second signing after the signing of Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk.

"I know that this is one of the best clubs in the world and it is unbelievable to be here and I hope to achieve great things," Dalot said, Manutd.com reports.

Dalot is a product of FC Porto's youth system and was a member of the Portugal team at the U-20 World Cup in 2017.

The youngster made his first team debut for the Portuguese side earlier this year, and may just play ahead of Antonio Valencia when the season begins in August after the World Cup in Russia.
