Manchester United have reportedly ended their interest in signing Brazilian defender Alex Sandro from Italian champions Juventus.
The Red Devils were heavily linked with the left-back prior to the FA Cup final against Chelsea and reports suggested that a deal could be sorted before the end of May.
However, United have since made little effort to pursue the former Porto man and according to M.E.N, there have now cooled their interest in the left-sided defender.
United boss Jose Mourinho has shown the desire to bring in a new left-back in the transfer window but the position is said to be no longer a priority with Ashley Young and Luke Shaw present at the club.
Young has been the first-choice on the left side of the backline with Shaw acting as his deputy and the latter is widely expected to stay despite approaching the final year of his deal.
Manchester United have already secured the signings of midfielder Fred and right-back Diogo Dalot and they are likely to target one more big arrival before the transfer deadline.
