Arsenal have decided against making an approach for Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee after missing out on Benjamin Sesko.
The Gunners recently suffered a huge setback with Sesko deciding to continue with RB Leipzig by penning a new contract.
As a result, they are looking at alternative options in the transfer market and it has been claimed that Zirkzee could be a target.
However, according to The Athletic, the Gunners are no longer interested in the former Bayern man, who prefers to stay in Italy.
AC Milan have already agreed personal terms with Zirkzee and it is only a matter of time before they secure his signature.
A deal has been put on hold due to the demands of his agent, but there is optimism that a middle ground can be found soon.
Arsenal don't have any leading targets for the centre-forward role at the moment and they are expected to take their time.
Victor Osimhen is deemed to be too expensive for them.
