Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has stressed that the club have yet to reach an agreement with Arsenal for the transfer of Greek defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Earlier this month, The Telegraph claimed that the Gunners had finalised a £16m deal for the central defender and the deal would be made official at the start of July.
However, Zorc has stressed that it is not the case with an agreement yet to be finalised between the sides, he told Revier Sport: "It tends to go there, that's right.
"But things are not completely finalised yet. And I will not work with you now and talk about the rumour mill, which includes 27 new BVB players since the end of May."
Zorc had come with a similar reaction during the Gunners' pursuit of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last winter and he may be perhaps ignoring the deal for Sokratis until a formal announcement is made by both clubs.
Sokratis' father has previously confirmed that his son has chosen to join the Gunners after Manchester United delayed over a decision to sign the Greece international.
