Senegal coach confident of qualification

28 June 2018 - 05:38

Senegal coach Aliou Cisse has said the he sees no reason why his Senegal team cannot qualify from group H.

  • Man Utd star to sign new contract in next 24 hours
  • Napoli & Atletico want to sign Man Utd star for £24m
  • Senegal will face Colombia in their final group game on Thursday, and a win or a draw will ensure they make it through to the second round.

They can still make it if they lose to the South Americans depending on goal difference.

"I have no reason whatsoever to believe we won't reach the round of 16," he said, Sky Sports reports.

The game against Colombia will definitely be a tough one. Jose Pekerman's men bounced back from their opening game defeat to Japan to win against Poland by three goals to nothing.

The game against Poland saw a very good attacking display from Radamel Falcao and Juan Cuadrado who scored the second and third goal for their side.

The Colombians lost their first game by a single goal margin despite playing with ten men for the majority of the game.
