Everton to move Croatia’s World Cup star?

28 June 2018 - 08:22

Everton are plotting a £26m move for Croatian winger, Ante Rebic, according to the Sun. Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the attacker.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • It has been revealed that new Everton boss, Marco Silva is on a mission to reshuffle his squad, and a move for the attacker may be on the horizon.

With Rooney set to complete a move to DC United in the coming days, the Eintracht Frankfurt player may just be what the Toffees need to boost their attack. The 24-year-old played 25 Bundesliga games last season, bagging 6 goals and two assists.

He has also impressed for Croatia at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia, helping them qualify with nine points from Group D. He was the scorer of Croatia's first goal against Argentina as they defeated the South Americans by three goals to nothing in their second group game.

It remains to be seen if a deal can be completed for the former Fiorentina player, but if it is finalised, Everton will probably have a player that will help the new manager achieve the club's goal of combining success with beautiful football.
