Manchester United have reportedly earmarked goalkeeper Stoke City's Lee Grant as one of their summer targets with manager Jose Mourinho keen on pursuing a reserve goalkeeper.
Grant has just a few days left on his existing deal with Stoke City and The Telegraph claims that Mourinho wants to make him the third-choice shot-stopper behind David de Gea and Sergio Romero.
Until now, Joel Pereira has acted as the number three keeper at Old Trafford but the Portuguese's desire for regular gametime is likely to witness him secure a loan move.
On the other hand, Sam Johnstone is expected to be sold permanently by United with west Midlands duo West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa keen on acquiring his services.
De Gea is presently the only shot-stopper who is plying his trade at the ongoing World Cup and his delayed return is likely to witness Romero start between the sticks for next season's Premier League opener.
