Wilshere: It is not difficult watching the World Cup

03 July 2018 - 17:29

Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has revealed that he has no difficulty watching the ongoing World Cup in Russia despite being left out of the England squad by Gareth Southgate.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Speaking to Starsport, Wilshere said that it is in his blood to support the Three Lions, and that it is hard not to.

Wilshere also revealed that the England manager has assured him that he could still make it back into the England squad.

Wilshere is reportedly on the verge of completing a move to Fenerbahce after leaving Arsenal due to the fact that new Arsenal boss Unai Emery did not assure him of a first team place.

Wilshere, 26, can still play in at least one World Cup and two Euro championships.

Achieving this goal won't be easy as there are a lot of competitions for places with the availability of talents in the England setup.

There is no doubt that Wilshere is up to the task of gaining a place in the England side, all he has to do is to be fit, train harder and be a better threat going forward.
