Chelsea have been fancied to make a shock approach for Manchester City's Joe Hart as they seek to find a suitable replacement for Thibaut Courtois.
The Blues are bracing themselves for a transfer offer from Real Madrid for Courtois this summer and reports claim that they are most likely to sanction the deal.
As such, the west London giants have been linked with numerous shot-stoppers in recent days and according to The Sun, Hart is one of those under consideration.
Hart has spent the past two seasons on loan away from Manchester City but he is now expected to part ways with the club, considering his contract expires at the end of next season.
Chelsea are prepared to offer a fee in the region of £5m for the England international but it remains unclear whether the Citizens would accept the sum for the two-time Premier League winner.
Hart is presently with the Manchester City team for their pre-season tour of the United States and he recently started during the second half of the 1-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
