Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has indicated his ambition to sign Toni Kroos from Real Madrid after knowing that Gareth Bale has no desire of leaving the European champions.
United have already recruited the likes of Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant this summer but there has still been a sense of frustration among the fans with no marquee signings to date.
According to TalkSPORT, United have given up on their pursuit of Bale and they have now set their sights on luring Kroos to Old Trafford before the transfer deadline.
Kroos has been an influential player for the Madrid giants over the past four seasons and it would come as a surprise, if they are to part ways with the Germany international.
He has made nearly 200 appearances during his stay with the Capital outfit where he has gone on to win 10 trophies. He is presently contracted to the club until June 2022.
