Manchester United and Chelsea have both made enquiries regarding the possible signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich this summer.
The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from the Bavarian giants in the transfer window with former club Barcelona among the key admirers for his signature.
However, according to ESPN FC, the concrete interest has rather come from the English top-flight with United and Chelsea both considering bids for the Spain international.
Bayern are presently reluctant to part ways with the midfielder in the transfer window but a fee in excess of £62m is likely to make them reconsider their stance.
Meanwhile, fellow teammate Arturo Vidal has also been linked with a summer exit after being excluded from the club's pre-season tour of the United States.
The Chile international has just a year remaining on his existing deal and he is also attracting interest from both United and Chelsea ahead of next month's transfer deadline.
