Manchester United could reportedly fine Anthony Martial upto £180,000 for failing to maintain his fitness since leaving the club's pre-season tour of the United States.
Martial was given permission to return to Europe to witness the birth of his second child last month but things have since not gone well for him on the professional scale.
According to The Mirror, United do not believe the attacker has been training over the past eight days and they could now fine him wages for at least two weeks for his actions.
Martial has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit since the start of the summer transfer window and the ongoing issues are likely to create further uncertainty surrounding his future.
Meanwhile, United boss Jose Mourinho has publicly criticised the Frenchman for taking his time to return to pre-season duty and it will be interesting to see whether Martial stays put beyond this month's transfer deadline.
