Marco Silva talks about Richarlison after win over Southampton

Everton manager Marco Silva has described Richarlison as a hard working player after the Toffees' 2-1 Premier League win over Southampton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Richarlison's second goal ensured Everton got their first three points of the current league season.

He now has three Premier League goals after scoring twice in Everton's opening game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Silva said: "I don't like to talk about one player, but he is working hard, enjoying where he is, helping his team-mates, and his team-mates helping him."

Richarlison was bought for £50m, a price that raised eyebrows, but if the Brazilian can continue scoring, the fans, and the Everton hierarchy will quickly forget about how much they had to pay for the former Watford man.

The former Watford manager added that it was a deserved three points and spoke of the need to improve the defence of set pieces after conceding via a corner.

The win gives the Merseyside club four points from two Premier League games.
