Former Manchester United coach David Moyes has been named as the leading candidate to take over the managerial role of the United States senior football team, according to the Sunday Times.

  • David Sarachan is currently the interim boss after the sack of Bruce Arena who failed to qualify them for the Russia World Cup.

Moyes is reportedly interested in becoming the permanent boss of the CONCACAF giants.

Moyes is currently out of a managerial job after he was relieved of his position at West Ham United in May.

The former Everton boss was let go despite guiding the Hammers to Premier League safety. He had nine wins and ten draws in 31 games as the coach of the London side.

Moyes is an experienced manager having coached Preston North End, Manchester United, and Everton. His stint with the Toffees lasted for eleven years.

His stint at Old Trafford did not go too well as he failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, leading to his sacking ten months into the job.
