The father of Eden Hazard has claimed that the attacker may not realise his dream move to Real Madrid in the future. The Belgium international was heavily tipped to leave Chelsea following the World Cup but he thereafter made the decision to stay for the 2018/19 campaign.
Since then, there has not been much speculation linking him with a move to the European champions and his father Thierry has now admitted that a future switch to the Bernabeu may no longer be a possibility.
"I cannot say why it did not go through. Not because I do not want to but because I do not know. Next year, Eden will have one year left on his contract but perhaps he never ends up in Madrid," he said via The Mirror.
Hazard has started the first two Premier League matches for Chelsea off the bench but he has still made an impact with an assist in each of those. He is expected to start from the off against Newcastle United on Sunday.
