Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco are reportedly plotting a loan swoop for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek before the French transfer window concludes on August 31.
The England international has come off a strong year where he was impressive with Crystal Palace on loan and this earned him a spot with the Three Lions at the World Cup.
Despite this, the 22-year-old has not been able to break into the starting setup under Maurizio Sarri and this has led to suggestions that he could pursue a temporary challenge elsewhere.
According to The Sun, Monaco are closely watching the developments of the midfielder and they could lodge a loan approach before the transfer window closes next week.
Loftus-Cheek has managed just 22 minutes off the bench since the start of the league season but Sarri has recently suggested that the midfielder may not pursue a temporary exit until the winter transfer window.
