Liverpool have reportedly decided against sanctioning the sale of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet following Loris Karius' recent loan move to Turkish side Besiktas.
The Reds pursued Alisson Becker from AS Roma during the summer transfer window and this meant that Mignolet was the third-choice keeper behind Loris Karius.
However, things have since changed with the departure of Karius to Besiktas and The Guardian reports that the club are now reluctant to part ways with Mignolet.
The Belgium international had been linked with potential loan moves to Fulham and Napoli this month but neither materialised with the sides going for Sergio Rico and David Ospina respectively.
The 30-year-old has been with the Reds since the summer of 2013 and during this period, he has made exactly 200 appearances across all competitions. He has three years remaining on his existing deal with the Merseyside giants.
