Mourinho doesn't think his job is in danger

03 September 2018 - 10:00

Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has said that he doesn't think his job at Old Trafford is in danger.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • Manchester Evening News reports that he made this known after the Burnley versus United post-match press conference.

La Repubblica reported him saying the following: “If they sent me away, do you have any idea how much money they would have to give me?! They say I’m in danger, but I don’t think so.”

Mourinho's job at Old Trafford was reportedly close to an end after consecutive defeats to Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur, but a win against Burnley at Turf Moor has eased the tensions surrounding the manager's position.

United's performance will be closely monitored despite the win as a number of high profile managers are already being linked with Mourinho's job, including former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.

United's next game will be against Watford after the international break. Watford have won their first four games of the season, and will provide a strong test for Mourinho and his men.
