Fabinho reveals why he is yet to make his Liverpool debut

07 September 2018 - 12:20

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has revealed that manager Jurgen Klopp is cautious about giving him his chance to play for the Reds.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The Brazilian is yet to play for Liverpool this season after completing a £39m move from Monaco during the last transfer window.

He added that he is calm and patient about the situation because the season is long.

Speaking to Globo Esporte, he said: ‘He is being cautious, he has already spoken about it a few times. I always want to play, but I am calm and patient because the season is long.'

Unlike his current situation at Liverpool, Fabinho made 34 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco last season scoring seven goals and providing three assists.

Liverpool are on the back of a perfect start to the Premier League, and Klopp may not want to drastically change his winning side, hence the delay in Fabinho making his debut.

Liverpool will resume hostilities against Tottenham Hotspur when the Premier League continues after the international break.
