Jonny Evans speaks on a lack of game time at Leicester City

Leicester City defender Jonny Evans has spoken of his displeasure at not playing regularly for his side so far this season.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • Leicester signed Evans from West Bromwich Albion in the just concluded summer transfer window, but he has made only one Premier League appearance so far.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, he said: "I've not maybe played as many minutes as I would have liked but I'm experienced enough to know that the best way to get in the team is by playing better."

Evans is looking to use the international break to improve his game in order to get back into the starting eleven.

It remains to be seen if he will be able to convince Claude Puel that he is the right man to start when they face Bournemouth this weekend.

The Northern Irishman started his career with Manchester United, but was not consistent enough to remain at the club for the long-term.

The central defender has also praised the performance of teammate Harry Maguire who recently signed a new five-year deal with the club.
