Bent eyes Tottenham stay

Bent eyes Tottenham stay

10 March 2008 - 19:27

Tottenham striker Darren Bent has indicated he sees his future at Spurs despite not seeing much playing time behind Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov, however, Bent helped himself to the fourth goal in the 4-0 defeat of West Ham at the weekend.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • "If I was two or three years down the line and I was still not playing I would have to think about it." said Bent.

"There has been a lot of speculation saying I want to leave, but I know I want to be here. Anyone who knows me will know how frustrated I have been. All I want to do is play games.

"But I need to bide my time. The front two are playing fantastically well at the moment. As a partnership, Berba and Keano have already got 40 goals between them.

"It is always going to be difficult to dislodge them, but I know what I need to do and as long as I am part of a good team like Spurs I am happy. It was nice to get on and score a goal but the most important thing was the result."
