Barcelona unwilling to match Manchester Uniteds price tag for Paul Pogba

Barca won't agree to United's price for Pogba

Barcelona unwilling to match Manchester United's price tag for Paul Pogba

28 September 2018 - 00:14

Barcelona have reportedly made it aware that they would not be spending a world-record package of £200m to lure midfielder Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The Catalan giants have earmarked Pogba as a possible signing for the future and the tension between him and United boss Jose Mourinho has only upped the possibility of him leaving Old Trafford.

However, according to The Mirror, the Spanish champions are only willing to part with half of United's £200m valuation for the World Cup winner and their approach could be delayed until next summer.

Pogba presently has under two years remaining on his existing contract with the Red Devils and the talk of an extension appears far off so long as Mourinho remains at the helm.

He was most recently stripped of the vice-captaincy by Mourinho amid his off-field behaviour and it remains to be seen whether he would make the matchday squad against West Ham after being left out for the League Cup defeat to Derby County.
