Chelsea's Eden Hazard admits he has 'hard decision' to make regarding his future

08 October 2018 - 17:20

Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard has admitted that he is torn between the prospect of signing a new Blues contract and realising his dream move to Real Madrid.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The Belgium international has been a revelation for the Blues this term with eight goals already across all competitions but this has not ended the uncertainty regarding his future.

At present, Hazard has just 20 months remaining on his existing deal with the Blues and he has now placed doubts over his future by refusing to commit to a new contract.

"I don’t want to say: ‘Yes, I am signing a new contract’ and then in the end I don’t end up signing. So I will see. Sometimes in my head, I wake up in the morning and think I want to go. Sometimes I think I want to stay. It is a hard decision. It is my future," he told Evening Standard.

The attacker added that Real Madrid remain his dream club since his childhood days and he would not hide from the fact that he would like to play for them during the latter phase of his career.

Hazard is already understood to have a £300,000-a-week contract offer on the table from Chelsea but he is only expected to make the decision at the end of the current campaign.
