Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has hinted that the club may not pursue any signings when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The Blues have enjoyed a strong start to the Premier League season which sees them right in the title race after 10 games into the campaign.
Despite this, there has been plenty of speculation regarding potential additions in January but Sarri has suggested that there may not be any purchase at the turn of the year.
"I didn't ask anything about it to my club at the moment because at the moment I think we can stay with these players and be competitive. Maybe not for the top but we have to try to arrive close to the top," he said.
Chelsea are presently third in the Premier League standings with 24 points after the opening 10 games but they could potentially find themselves topping the standings after their game in hand over Crystal Palace this weekend.
