Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez is reportedly holding out for a potential move to Arsenal despite the recent interest from West Ham United.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • The Spain international has been tipped to leave the Camp Nou this month after managing just 18 minutes of league action under Ernesto Valverde during the ongoing campaign.

Amidst this, he has been regularly linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium but any transfer remains on standby for the moment with the clubs yet to finalise terms.

According to The Mirror, the Hammers had sought to hijack the midfielder's move to the Gunners by agreeing to match Barca's £20m valuation but Suarez is said to have snubbed the approach.

It is added that the Spaniard is waiting on the Gunners move to materialise with the north London side yet to agree with Barca's asking price for the midfielder.

Arsenal are only expected to pursue a temporary move for the 24-year-old midfielder this month with the obligation to buy at the end of the current campaign.
