Inter deny Hleb move

19 March 2008 - 21:55

Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb is not being chased by Inter Milan, according to a statement written by the club. Hleb supposedly met with representatives of Inter Milan prior to the match between Arsenal and city rivals AC Milan in the Champions League.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The statement read: "With regard to yesterday's report in La Stampa newspaper and today's articles in the British press, carried also by Italian news agencies, F.C. Internazionale denies having met with the player Alexander Hleb, and has received no letter of complaint from Arsenal."

Barcelona have also reportedly been linked with a move for Hleb; who signed from VfB Stuttgart for £10 million.

Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen to tie Hleb to a longer deal at the club.
