Arsenal to lose out on signing World Cup finalist?

Arsenal could miss out on the signing of Ivan Perisic in the summer with the Inter Milan ace said to favour a move to arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?
  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The Croatia international has been heavily linked with a Premier League move over the past 18 months where he was close to joining Manchester United at one stage.

According to Tuttosport, the Gunners are said to have the intention of signing Perisic on a permanent basis during the summer after failing with a loan approach last month.

However, their advances could be knocked back by the attacker himself who is understood to favour a move across north London with Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs.

Perisic had handed in a transfer request during the winter transfer window after knowing of the Gunners' interest but the Nerazzurri were unwilling to settle for a temporary deal without the obligation to buy.

The World Cup finalist is expected to push for an exit during the summer and the Nerazzurri are likely to demand a sum of at least £35m to part ways with the winger.
