Arsenal have reportedly identified Bayern Munich attacker Kai Havertz as a potential replacement for Mesut Ozil when the current season comes to a close.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The 19-year-old has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season with the Bundesliga side this term and he has already contributed 11 goals and six assists across all competitions for the club.

According to Calciomercato, this has caught the attention of the Gunners scouts, who have been keeping a close watch on his performances with a view to a summer approach.

The two-time Germany international currently has more than three years remaining on his existing deal with Leverkusen and the club are likely to command a fee in upwards of £40m for his proposed sale this summer.

Gunners boss Unai Emery is likely to be offered with a restricted £40m budget to spend on new signings during the summer and reports indicate that Mesut Ozil could be among those making way for fresh recruits.
