Real Madrid agree deal with Porto for Eder Militao

14 March 2019 - 03:41

Real Madrid have agreed a deal with Porto for Eder Militao to make him Zinadine Zidane’s first signing. The deal is assumed to be in the region of €50 million for the defender Militao. Militao has become one of the brightest prospects after arriving from Sao Paulo for €4 million. Manchester United considered buying him in the winter transfer window.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The 21-year old will make a move to Madrid after Real activate his €50 million buyout clause. The report also claims that the Brazilian defender has agreed a six-year contract with Madrid and had a medical in Portugal on Monday.

Militao is in line to become Madrid’s first summer signing but Chelsea’s Eden Hazard also looks likely to make the move following Zidane’s unexpected return. Zidane has been handed a huge €300 budget and looks to overhaul the squad. Signing a young defender like Militao could be a risk but Zidane’s risks often deliver football marvels.

The former Sao Paulo man is good at distributing the ball around and is threat in set piece situations. In total of 27 appearances, Porto has managed to keep 12 clean sheets. He could be a quality  and a reliable addition to Real Madrid.
