Vogel: i'll be Blackburn star

20 March 2008 - 00:26

Swiss midfielder Johan Vogel believes that he will be a star for Blackburn Rovers. The Swiss midfielder had been on trial with the club for two weeks before signing a permanent deal and comes with plenty of experience, including playing for AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven.

  • Liam Rosenior on Enzo Fernandez's Chelsea future
  • "I've trained more than two weeks with the squad and I think I have to practice a little bit more," he told the club's official website.

"That is normal after ten months without playing, but if I am given my chance to play then I will do my best.

"If the manager thinks I'm ready then I'll be happy as ten months is a long time. If he wants me to play this season I'll grab my chance.

"I played many years in the Netherlands, in Serie A and the Premera Liga in Spain and now for me it is a great opportunity for me to play in the Premier League.

"It has always been an objective of mine to play in England. I can't wait to get started and I hope I will enjoy this time."
