Arsenal have reportedly revived their long-term interest in signing Gelson Martins from Atletico Madrid this summer.
The Portuguese winger was highlighted as one of the top summer targets for the club last year, but they lost out on his services to Atletico Madrid.
This has, however, not ended their interest in the right-sided attacker and A Bola claims that they could make a renewed approach in the summer.
Martins had struggled during his time with Atleti in the first half of the season but he has witnessed a change in fortunes with his loan stint at Monaco.
He has netted three goals and contributed two assists in just eight games for the Principality outfit and this form seems to have impressed the Gunners hierarchy.
Still, the deal is not straightforward, considering Atleti have yet to negotiate a transfer fee with Sporting from whom Martins terminated his contract last summer.
Martins rescinded his deal with Sporting following an unexpected training ground incident and Atleti have since pursued him without finalising a transfer sum.
