Manchester United make formal bid for West Ham United star?

Manchester United have reportedly made a former bid worth &pound35m to acquire the signature of Declan Rice from West Ham United in the summer.

  • Noni Madueke reacts after Arsenal draw vs Leverkusen
  • Confirmed Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Paris Saint-Germain, James in midfield
  • The midfielder has made good progress with the east London side through the campaign and he was recently handed with his first two caps for England after switching his allegiance from the Republic of Ireland.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Red Devils have been impressed with the development of Rice with the Hammers and they have now made an official offer of around &pound35m to lure him to Old Trafford.

Rice only signed a new long-term deal with the Hammers in December 2018 but this has not ceased the transfer speculation with manager Manuel Pellegrini recently admitting that the midfielder could be sold at the right price.

United are currently facing the uncertainty over the future of Ander Herrera whose contract expires in the summer and Rice could ideally be considered as a direct replacement for the Spaniard.
