Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Christian Eriksen from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.

  • The Denmark international has just 14 months remaining on his current deal with the club and this has spread speculation that Spurs could cash in on his services when the transfer window reopens.

According to El Confidencial, Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the proceedings of the former Ajax graduate but they are expected to face competition from the Red Devils.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have lacked the presence of a creative force in the attacking midfield barring the occasional showing from Paul Pogba and they are keen to sort the concern during the summer.

Eriksen is currently said to be valued at around £80m, but it is suggested that Spurs would prefer selling him to an overseas club rather than strengthening a direct league rival ahead of next season.
