Chelsea midfielder set for permanent Milan move?

AC Milan have reportedly stepped up their efforts to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko on a permanent basis from Chelsea during this summer's transfer window.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Frenchman was deemed surplus to requirements under Sarri at the beginning of the campaign and he was thereafter shipped out on loan to the Rossoneri with the option to buy for £30.3m next summer.

Bakayoko has since built his reputation at the Rossoneri with a string of top-notch performances and Calciomercato claims that the club have been convinced to sign him permanently.

Still, they are reluctant to pay the £30.3m fee previously discussed and they are prepared to hold fresh negotiations to reduce the valuation ahead of a potential summer deal.

Bakayoko has more than three years remaining on his current contract at Chelsea but manager Sarri has clearly indicated that the midfielder has no future under his tutelage.

The Frenchman has been a regular presence in the centre of the park for the Rossoneri, who are currently holding on to the final Champions League spot. They are just one point ahead of fifth-placed AS Roma.
