Getafe centre-back Djene Dakonam has reportedly emerged as one of the prime transfer targets for Arsenal boss Unai Emery ahead of the summer transfer window.
The north London side are due to bolster their central defence at the end of the season after struggling to keep regular clean sheets on the road through the campaign.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, the Gunners have been impressed by the form of Djene, who has kept Getafe in contention for Champions League football next term.
It is added that Emery has been particularly attracted by the player's versatility of featuring in the central defensive and right-back positions and this has propped him up the order in terms of the club's targets.
The Togo international was linked with a potential big-money move from Getafe last summer but he opted to snub the advances to remain committed to the club.
The Spanish side have since inserted a £30m release clause on his contract and reports indicate that they are likely to cash in on the defender when the transfer window reopens.
