Lozano on his way to Naples

South American attacker snubs Manchester United move?

05 May 2019 - 20:06

Napoli are reportedly on course to beat Manchester United to the signing of Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven this summer.

  • Man Utd star to sign new contract in next 24 hours
  • Napoli & Atletico want to sign Man Utd star for £24m

  • The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a big-club move over the past year and it appears that PSV have eventually decided to cash in on his services.

According to Corriere dello Sport, both Napoli and United have been keeping tabs on the forward, who has amassed 19 goals and nine assists for PSV this campaign.

However, it is claimed that the Naples outfit have the edge over United, given the player's representative has already made contact with the Napoli hierarchy regarding a summer move.

Lozano is likely to cost Napoli in the region of £34m while Napoli are prepared to commit him to a five-year deal with a significant increase on his previous wages.

Napoli have fallen well short in their quest of winning the Serie A title this term and they are likely to go on a spending spree this summer to seek to close the gap on holders Juventus.
