Manchester United have received a boost in signing West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice with manager Manuel Pellegrini admitting that he is unsure regarding the player's future.

  • The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the Hammers graduate this year with reports suggesting that they are keen on bolstering their holding midfield department.

Speaking after West Ham's final game of the season, Pellegrini has acknowledged that Rice could be the subject of big-club interest this summer and he has no idea regarding the position of the midfielder.

"It's impossible, I cannot know the future. Maybe some of the big teams, or all of them, will want him. But that is one thing - the other is whether he will stay here or he goes, and I cannot say at this moment," he told Sky Sports.

Rice only extended his contract with the Hammers towards the end of 2018 but it appears that the move was primarily done to enhance their transfer value ahead of this summer's transfer window.

He was previously valued at around £35m, but the Hammers can be expected to command a sum in the region of £50m for the his proposed sale this summer.
