Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy underwent successful arthroscopic surgery. He has been sidelined for several weeks suffering a severly inflammed right ankle.
The Dutchman has been the major strike force for Real Madrid after joining the Spanish giants from Manchester United. He is expected to miss another six weeks and could return for the 'El Clasico' on May 7th.
