Chelsea still discussing transfer deal for Belgian playmaker

Chelsea are reportedly continuing discussions with Real Madrid with regards to the transfer package for wantaway playmaker Eden Hazard.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • Hazard has just 12 months remaining on his current Blues deal and he has already revealed his intention to join Los Blancos during this summer's transfer window.

According to Goal.com, the Blues are said to demand at least £115m for their prized asset and that is above the expectation of Los Blancos, who have placed a £89m package on the table.

Nonetheless, it is suggested that the clubs will eventually reach an agreement at a middle sum of around £106m, considering Hazard seems to hold no ambition of penning a new contract at the Bridge.

The west London side are currently under a ban for two transfer windows but they are likely to appeal over the same at the Court of Arbitration for Sport after FIFA present their own points for the sanction to the committee.
