Manchester United have reportedly made player-plus-cash offer for defender Issa Diop but the proposal has been swiftly turned down by West Ham United.
The Red Devils are planning a spending spree for the summer as they seek to rebuild the squad after a disappointing Premier League campaign where they finished sixth.
According to The Mirror, United have offered a fee of around £90m alongside an unknown player in exchange for Diop but the package has been rebuffed by the Hammers.
The same publication claims that the east London side are determined to keep hold of the central defender and they may only sell, if any suitors match their £60m valuation.
Diop has yet to hand in a transfer request to the Hammers but reports indicate that he is likely to do the same after learning of the interest from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
The 22-year-old joined the Hammers from Toulouse for £22m last summer and he has since managed 38 appearances across all competitions. He has four years left on his existing deal.
