Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly urged Manchester United to fasten negotiations with Leicester City for the services of Harry Maguire.

  • The England international has been earmarked as the leading target to strengthen the club's backline this summer but so far, United have not met the transfer demands of the Foxes.

According to M.E.N, Ferguson is said to be a keen admirer of the former Hull City man and he is surprised that the Red Devils have delayed negotiations for the central defender.

United have already failed with an opening bid of around £70m for the centre-back and reports have emerged that they are likely to come up with an improved £75m offer which could satisfy the Foxes.

Aside from Maguire, United have their sights on pursuing Bruno Fernandes and Sean Longstaff from Sporting and Newcastle United respectively, but they have yet to negotiate transfer deals for the duo.
