Blackburn chase Gravesen

Blackburn Rovers are considering a transfer move for Danish midfielder Thomas Gravesen. The player is currently owned by Celtic and is on loan at Everton, but with Mark Hughes uncertain of Turkish midfielder Tugay's future, Gravesen is seen as an option.

  • Gravesen is currently on loan at Everton but still has more than a year left on his contract at Celtic.

However, he is unlikely to resurrect his Parkhead career, with Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan keen to cut his high salary from the wage-bill at the earliest opportunity.

Blackburn are also believed to be concerned that they may be losing David Bentley to Liverpool in the summer and are looking for midfield reinforcements.
