  • A transfer fund of £50 million has been given to Everton to spend on new players this summer and a significant chunk of that will be spent to acquire Delph. It is understood that Manchester City have accepted a bid of £8 million from the Toffees.

The player is out of contract at the end of next season and Man City manager Pep Guardiola is keen to redeem funds having splashed the cash signing Rodri and Angelino so far in this transfer window.

Delph is hoping that his move to Everton will help force his way back in to England's starting XI again under manager Gareth Southgate, having slipped out of recognition in recent times.
