Real Madrids stance on Liverpool attacker revealed

Liverpool have not received any offers for Mane

Real Madrid's stance on Liverpool attacker revealed

14 July 2019 - 19:21

Real Madrid are understood to have made no contact with Liverpool for the services of Sadio Mane contrary to claims by the head of the Senegalese Football Association.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Earlier last week, Saee Seck suggested that Mane had the chance of making the switch to Los Blancos and he urged the attacker to consider a move away from the European champions.

However, according to The Liverpool ECHO, that does not appear the case and the Reds have yet to receive any approach from Zinedine Zidane's side for the player.

The same publication claims that the Reds don't hold any interest in sanctioning Mane's sale and they would still reject any offers which come in for the winger.

Mane, who penned a long-term deal with the club last year, scored 26 goals for the Reds during the previous campaign while helping the Reds secure a sixth European title.

He is currently with Senegal at the African Cup of Nations where they are awaiting the finalist from the game between Nigeria and Algeria. The west African side beat Tunisia 1-0 to reach the final stage of the competition.
