Philippe Coutinho approves Liverpool loan return?

15 July 2019 - 17:00

Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho is reportedly open to the prospect of rejoining Liverpool on a temporary basis this summer.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The Brazilian has been with the Blaugrana for the past 18 months, but he has not been able to produce the consistency witnessed from his time at Anfield.

As such, there has been speculation regarding his future with the club and Calciomercato claims that Coutinho would prefer a return to the Premier League with the Reds.

The same publication claims the attacker has approved to join the Merseyside outfit on a two-year loan while the club would have the option to sign him permanently for £88m thereafter.

Coutinho struck just 11 times for the Blaugrana during the previous campaign and his struggles were mostly in the league where he managed just five goals from 33 appearances.

Manchester United have also been linked with a potential swoop for his signature, though he is expected to decline the advances owing to the loyalties with Jurgen Klopp's side.
