Manchester United are reportedly continuing their negotiations to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City despite the Foxes being reluctant to reduce their £80m price tag for the defender.
The England international has been identified as the prime target to strengthen the central defensive department at United but so far, the club have failed to reach an agreement in terms of the transfer fee.
According to The Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are unwilling to offer more than £70m for the centre-back but they remain hopeful of convincing the Foxes into a sale.
Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has recently indicated that the club find themselves under no pressure to sell the 26-year-old, though their hand may be forced, if the defender pushes for a departure.
Aside from Maguire, the Red Devils have been fancied to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting and reports have indicated that they are close to agreeing a deal worth £64m for the Portugal international.
