Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho has no plans of joining Arsenal on a season-long loan agreement from Barcelona this summer.

  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • It has been recently claimed that the Gunners could make a shock attempt to sign the 27-year-old on a temporary basis as they seek to improve their options in the attack.

However, that seems an impossible task, as per Mundo Deportivo, who report that the Brazilian has no interest in leaving the Camp Nou on a year-long loan.

The same outlet adds that the midfielder may still favour a permanent return to the Premier League, although the Gunners are not in a position to match the Blaugrana's demands for a £100m plus fee.

Coutinho, who was recently part of Brazil's Copa America-winning squad, had a disappointing 2018/19 campaign with the Blaugrana, where he managed just five league goals.

Out of the elite European sides, Paris Saint-Germain have been regularly fancied to recruit him in a potential swap deal involving Neymar returning to the Camp Nou.
