French giants make move for Chelsea midfielder

Bakayoko set for Ligue 1 return?

French giants make move for Chelsea midfielder

19 August 2019 - 19:09

Out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko could make a late departure from Stamford Bridge this summer with both Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco interested in his signature.

  • Chelsea to accept low-ball offers for Conor Gallagher?
  • Arsenal midfielder withdraws from international duty

  • The France international made a good impression with AC Milan on loan last season, but the Rossoneri decided against making the deal permanent for around £35m.

Since then, he has been deemed surplus to requirements with new Blues boss Frank Lampard not considering him for the recent matchday squads and The Express claims that the midfielder could seal a Ligue 1 return.

Both Paris Saint-Germain and ex-club AS Monaco are interested in the 25-year-old, but the former may seem the ideal choice for the midfielder at the present point of time.

Les Parisiens boss Thomas Tuchel has already landed Ander Herrera and Idrissa Gueye this summer but he appears intent on adding more quality options in the centre of the park.

Monaco are likewise planning to do the same but they have made a disastrous start to the season with successive 3-0 defeats which sees them at the bottom of the standings.
