Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has said that midfielder Mason Mount only picked up a knock to his calf during the recent 3-2 league triumph over Norwich City on the road.
The Blues celebrated their first win under their new head coach on Saturday and Mount was one of the standout players on the field with a goal while orchestrating the club's attack.
Towards the closing stages of the game, Mount was substituted with an injury concern but Lampard is confident that the setback is only temporary in the form of a knock.
"Mason took a knock to his calf, so that is better than a strain, obviously,’ said Lampard. So hopefully in a couple of days it will settle down, so hopefully that is good news. We will assess it," he told the club's official website.
Aside from Mount, Tammy Abraham was another Blues graduate, who put up a strong performance at Carrow Road and he ended the game with a brace for which he was voted as the man of the match by the fans.
Chelsea's first win of the Premier League campaign has seen them jump to 12th on the table. They are scheduled to entertain Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge next weekend.
