Manchester United could make a shock move for former Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the January transfer window, once the forward's contract with the MLS side LA Galaxy expires. United are short of strikers and are ready to make a six month contract offer to snap up their former player.
According to multiple reports, Ibrahimovic is one of the player's on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's list of potential transfers having allowed Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to leave the club this summer, with both joining Inter Milan.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that a move could be possible, telling reporters this week: "If he was 28 and not 38 [in October], there's a big difference. Zlatan had a great time here, he's still doing well, it's unfortunate he got his injury here.
"Who knows, he knows my number, he looked at my house [when he was here]. We can speak a native language. If he's serious I'll always speak to Zlatan.
"I don't think that will happen, I think he's had his time at the club, he's had a fantastic career at the club."
